Episodes of Gagosian Premieres are created in collaboration with an artist and shaped around his or her new gallery exhibition. The exclusively online series features the artists in conversation with the most widely respected figures from the worlds of contemporary literature, music, entertainment, film, and, of course, art, as well as studio visits and intimate performances inspired by and composed in response to the work on view.

The ninth episode of Gagosian Premieres celebrates Nathaniel Mary Quinn: NOT FAR FROM HOME; STILL FAR AWAY—an exhibition of new paintings and works on paper at Gagosian, New York—featuring a raw musical performance by Raphael Saadiq; an intimate conversation between Quinn and Amanda Hunt, director of public programs and creative practice at the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art in Los Angeles; and insightful commentary from writer and curator Ekow Eshun.

The eighth episode of Gagosian Premieres celebrates Frank Gehry: Spinning Tales—an exhibition of new work presented at Gagosian, Beverly Hills—featuring musical performances by esperanza spalding and Gustavo Dudamel and YOLA (Youth Orchestra Los Angeles), and a conversation between Frank Gehry and Julian Rose conducted in Gehry’s Los Angeles studio.

For the third episode of the online event series Gagosian Premieres, Jenny Saville will celebrate her exhibition Elpis at Gagosian New York with painter Nathaniel Mary Quinn and historian Simon Schama, with a performance by the Aaron Diehl Trio, who will play music by Philip Glass as well as a new composition inspired by the work on view.

For the second episode of Gagosian Premieres, we celebrate Gregory Crewdson: An Eclipse of Moths—a new exhibition at Gagosian, Los Angeles—with author Malcolm Gladwell, film critic Elvis Mitchell, musician and author Jeff Tweedy, and the artist.
While the episode is airing, Crewdson will answer questions on YouTube LiveChat and present a signed and numbered limited-edition book, published by Aperture, with a personal inscription to one viewer who participates in the conversation.
