Anthony Vaccarello has served as creative director for Saint Laurent since 2016. Over the past seven years, in addition to overseeing the womenswear and menswear collections, he has spearheaded an ambitious program of collaborations with figures from the worlds of film, music, art, and beyond. Derek Blasberg caught up with Vaccarello in Los Angeles to discuss Saint Laurent Productions, which debuted with a new film by Pedro Almodóvar at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, as well as forthcoming projects with artist Cai Guo-Qiang and filmmaker David Cronenberg.

Modern Women curated by AWARE

AWARE: Archives of Women Artists, Research and Exhibitions is devoted to increasing awareness about women-identifying artists of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. This Paris-based international nonprofit selected a number of works for the exhibition Modern Women, at Frieze Masters, London, in October 2023. Here, art historians from AWARE highlight four of the works presented.
