Artist Plate Project 2022
Coalition for the Homeless
Launching May 22, 2023, 10am edt
Limited-edition bone china plates produced by Prospect and featuring artwork by more than forty artists—including Virgil Abloh, Derrick Adams, Harold Ancart, Georg Baselitz, Amoako Boafo, Mark Grotjahn, Takashi Murakami, Albert Oehlen, Ed Ruscha, Anna Weyant, and Jonas Wood—will be sold through Artware Editions to raise funds for the Coalition’s lifesaving programs. The funds raised by the sale of the plates will provide food, crisis services, housing, and other critical aid to thousands of people experiencing homelessness and instability. The purchase of one plate can feed one hundred homeless and hungry New Yorkers.

The Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago presents its annual Benefit Art Auction on Saturday, November 16, with a cocktail reception and viewing of the available works, followed by a seated dinner and live auction. Works by leading artists, including Virgil Abloh, Theaster Gates, Takashi Murakami, Richard Prince, Sarah Sze, and Christopher Wool, have been donated. The Art of Wishes 2019

Founded by philanthropist and Make‐A‐Wish UK patron Batia Ofer, the third annual Art of Wishes will feature a benefit auction to raise money for Make-A-Wish UK, a nonprofit organization that grants the wishes of children with critical illnesses. In advance of the charity event, a preview of the artworks will be open to the public from September 19 to 20 at Phillips London in Berkeley Square. More than twenty artworks by leading international artists such as Virgil Abloh, Michael Craig‐Martin, Takashi Murakami, Richard Wright, and others will be included.

Virgil Abloh pioneered a practice that cuts across mediums and connects visual artists, musicians, graphic designers, fashion designers, and architects. This exhibition, which originated at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, offers an in-depth look at defining highlights of Abloh’s career and includes a program of cross-disciplinary offerings that mirror the artist’s range of interests. The Brooklyn Museum presentation, which includes never-before-seen objects from Abloh’s archive and a social sculpture drawing on his background in architecture, is organized by Gagosian director Antwaun Sargent.
